About Freckles
In the photo, Freckles is exploring a sunny ledge outdoors, nose to the ground. She is creamy white from head to tail, with small dark eyes.
A dark-eyed white (DEW) ferret has a white to cream coat like an albino, but dark burgundy or near-black eyes. Some DEW ferrets have reduced hearing or are deaf (a trait linked to the white-marking gene), so they often rely more on sight, smell and vibration.
